Equity & Inclusion
Introduction to Equity and Inclusive Education at PLR
At P. L. Robertson Public School, we know that equity and inclusion are inextricably linked to student well-being and learning. We consider our students' families to be our partners in the work of making our school an equitable and inclusive learning environment. To this end, we have a number of projects on the go which invite family participation. Please scroll down or use the links below to participate in the Power of a Name project, to share something special about you or your family for our weekly PLR Family Spotlight, or to make your voice heard through our anonymous Inclusion Survey. We thank you in advance for your involvement in the life of your child's school through this important work. Should you have any questions or concerns at any time, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or to Principal Sean McCarthy or Vice Principal Melissa Hanmer.
PLR Family Spotlight
The Power of a Name Project
At P. L. Robertson, we believe that names are powerful, and that pronouncing people's names correctly matters. In collaboration with the community and initiated by School Council, families have identified that correct pronunciation of student names is an area where we at PLR can do better. This form is a first step toward achieving that goal. Participation is voluntary, but very much appreciated. We thank you for taking part in this project!
